Gallery Towers is one of the newest additions to Downtown Markham, The Remington Group's master-planned community just south of Highway 7 between Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road. Built as the second phase of the Gallery Square district, it pairs two high-rise towers with a townhouse-style podium, street-level retail and an unusually wide range of suite sizes. It is a building we are hearing more about from first-time buyers and from people moving out of a larger house, so here is our overview.

Location

Gallery Towers sits at 190 Enterprise Boulevard and 38 and 56 Andre De Grasse Street, on the block bounded by Enterprise Boulevard, Andre De Grasse Street and Verdale Crossing, just east of Birchmount Road. It is part of the same Gallery Square district as the phase-one buildings on Birchmount Road and Simcoe Promenade, and a short walk from neighbouring Downtown Markham buildings such as The Signature and The Verdale.

The location puts residents in the middle of Downtown Markham's growing mix of homes, offices, shops and green space, with the Highway 7 and Warden corridor a few minutes away and York University's Markham Campus practically next door.

Developer and Building Background

Gallery Towers was developed by The Remington Group, the master developer of Downtown Markham, and designed by BDP Quadrangle. The project consists of two high-rise towers joined by a seven-storey podium with townhouse-style homes and piazza-style retail at street level. Published heights for the towers vary between sources, so we suggest confirming the exact storey count for any suite you are considering.

The design leans away from the all-glass look of many new towers, using brick detailing, black metal railings and a sculptural, notched exterior. Gallery Towers was reported as occupied and nearly sold out in mid-2025, so most opportunities today come through resale or assignment.

Building Amenities

Amenity details can change once a condo corporation takes over, so always confirm what is currently available. Developer and building descriptions highlight:

  • Indoor and outdoor fitness areas, plus a dedicated yoga studio

  • Outdoor terrace with barbecues, dining tables and lounge seating

  • Private theatre

  • Games room with billiards and card tables

  • Dining lounge with a wet bar

  • Workshop space

  • On-site dog walk area and pet spa

  • Rooftop play area

  • Designer lobby and lounge

Transit and Getting Around

  • Viva Purple rapid transit along Highway 7 and Enterprise Boulevard, with a stop at Enterprise Boulevard and Andre De Grasse Street

  • Unionville GO Station on the Stouffville line, roughly a 10-minute walk away

  • Local York Region Transit and TTC bus routes on Highway 7 and nearby arterial roads

  • Bike lanes on Birchmount Road, Rouge Valley Drive West and Verclaire Gate

  • Highway 407 interchanges at Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road, with Highway 404 a short drive west

Shopping, Dining and Recreation

Gallery Towers is designed to sit beside the street-level shops, restaurants and patios of Gallery Square, and a Whole Foods Market is within walking distance. Aroma Espresso Bar and other cafés and casual restaurants are close by, and the wider Highway 7 corridor adds plenty more grocery, dining and service options.

For entertainment, Cineplex Cinemas Markham VIP and IMAX is right on Enterprise Boulevard. York University's Markham Campus is steps away, and Downtown Markham's network of parks and trails connects to the Rouge River green space that runs through the community.

Schools and Education Nearby

  • Coledale Public School (YRDSB) – 60 Coledale Road, Markham

  • St. John XXIII Catholic Elementary School (YCDSB) – 125 Krieghoff Avenue, Unionville

  • Unionville High School (YRDSB) – 201 Town Centre Boulevard, Markham

School boundaries change from time to time, so please confirm current boundaries directly with the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) or the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB).

Typical Suite Types

Gallery Towers offers one of the broadest suite ranges in Downtown Markham. Layouts include one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom suites, many with a den, starting from roughly 500 square feet. At the larger end are two-storey townhomes and penthouse-level suites well above 1,600 square feet. Every suite was designed with a balcony or terrace, and the developer highlighted open-concept living areas and generous primary bedrooms. Parking and locker arrangements vary by unit, so confirm them for each suite.

For First-Time Buyers and Downsizers

First-time buyers: One-bedroom and one-bedroom-plus-den suites offer a way into a newer building in a master-planned community, and a den doubles as a home office. With Viva at the door and Unionville GO within walking distance, some buyers may be able to manage with one car or none, and the fitness centre and yoga studio can replace a separate gym membership.

Downsizers: If you are moving from a larger house, the two- and three-bedroom suites, two-storey townhomes and larger penthouse-level layouts can hold more of the furniture you want to keep, and a terrace keeps some outdoor space in your routine. Elevator access, underground parking, a workshop and pet-friendly features make the transition easier, while the theatre, dining lounge and terrace give you room to host family and friends.

Who Gallery Towers Suits

  • Commuters who rely on Viva, Unionville GO or Highway 407

  • Buyers who want a newer building with modern amenities

  • Anyone who needs a den or flexible space for working from home

  • People moving from a house who want a larger suite, a townhome-style layout or a big terrace

  • Pet owners who value an on-site dog walk and pet spa

  • Investors interested in a newer building near York University's Markham Campus and Downtown Markham's office and retail hub
